2-Day class on Saturdays Nov., 2 & Nov. 9.

Learn how to make a Holiday Wreath Wall Hanging with quilter Melissa Huisman. Class is $30/person (includes both Saturday classes), and is payable at the first class on Nov. 2.

Skill level: Intermediate; working knowledge of a sewing machine. 

Materials needed for EACH block: 
Pattern: Wreath and Tree Wall hanging by Ellen Burns $9  (*Available online; search by title or ISBN 1891776819, or it may be available at Family Sewing in Grandville; call to make sure they are still in stock. (616)538-8885.)

For wreath blocks: 1/8 yd of 3 different green fabrics (small prints or solids)
For background: 1/8 yd of 3 different light fabrics (small prints or solids) 
-OR- 
 ¼ yd of just 1 light fabric (small prints or solids) 
Center & Bow: ¼ yd of red fabric (small print or solid)
Border & Binding: 5/8 yd – (medium to large print or solid)|
Backing: ¾ yd
Batting: 30” x 30”

Equipment/Tools: Sewing machine, pins, scissors, seam ripper, acrylic ruler  (6" square up ruler is best), thread.
*The Library has a couple sewing machines in our Library of Things. Check out ahead of time, if needed.

Provided: Iron, ironing surface, paper backed fusible web: 1/8 yard, Shiny gold fabric to use for bow in place of red fabric.

IMPORTANT
Please cut your greens and the light background fabric into 1 ¼” x width of fabric strips before class.
