Event Details

Get inspired by the past! In this new program, we will read a picture book biography about a real-life hero, trailblazer, or changemaker, then bring history to life with a fun craft or hands-on activity. From artists and activists to scientists and explorers, each session highlights someone who made a difference in the world.

For March we dive into the amazing story of Eugenie Clark, a pioneering marine biologist who loved sharks when everyone else feared them! We'll read Shark Lady by Jess Keating and discover how her curiosity led to amazing underwater discoveries.

After the story, kids will create their own underwater discovery viewers to peer into an ocean world full of sharks and sea life, just like Dr. Clark did! For elementary-age children. All supplies provided.
