Beginning Twining Class

Learn the art of twining with weaving expert, Melissa Huisman. Come learn to make your own rag rug using recycled materials. Class is $30/person, payable at the class. 

Adult class, ages 16+ welcome.

Looms may be checked out for free with your library card while they last, or borrowed from the teacher with a $50 deposit.

You’ll need to bring your own actual weaving material. This can either be 2 to 2 ½” strips of cotton (a set of old sheets works well; several colors makes your design interesting) or 1 to 1 ½” strips of denim. You can rip 20-30 strips ahead of time, which is all we'll have time to use in-class. 
Pre-ripped denim balls will be available for sale for $2/ball. You'll need 12 balls total.
